ARTEMIS carries out its activities through seven Work Packages (WPs), which coordinate the work of the eight partner universities: from the management of the Alliance to education, research and innovation, as well as regional engagement and the communication of results.
The University of Perugia contributes to all seven WPs, bringing together the expertise and activities of academic staff, researchers, professional and administrative staff, students and PhD candidates. The sections below describe the scope of each Work Package and UniPG’s contribution.
WP1 – Management and Governance
Professor Diana Salciarini
Diana Salciarini is Associate Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Perugia and the Rector’s Delegate for International Relations and Cooperation. Her research interests include landslide hazard assessment, soil–structure interaction and geothermal foundations.
Within ARTEMIS, she acts as the institutional liaison between UniPG and the Alliance’s governance bodies. She gathers and validates information from the University’s different Work Packages and represents UniPG in the Alliance’s coordination processes and joint activities.
As UniPG Representative for WP1, she contributes to project management and governance, quality monitoring, audit processes and the alignment of activities with the project’s objectives and agreements. Her role connects the Alliance’s strategic decisions with the structures and activities of the University of Perugia.
WP2 – ARTEMIS Inter-University Campus

WP2 works to develop the ARTEMIS Inter-University Campus, promoting integration among the partner universities and improving access to shared services, tools and opportunities for their academic communities.
WP3 – Education and Training

WP3 develops educational activities, joint study programmes and new learning and mobility opportunities for students and university staff.
WP4 – Research Pathways

WP4 promotes research cooperation among the partner universities, the development of shared research pathways and the involvement of researchers and PhD candidates.
WP5 – Sustainable Innovation and Knowledge Transfer

WP5 supports sustainable innovation, knowledge transfer and collaboration among universities, businesses, institutions and regional stakeholders.
WP6 – Societal Engagement for Regional Transition

WP6 promotes the involvement of society and stakeholders in regional transition processes through Living Labs, co-creation activities and dialogue with local communities.
WP7 – Dissemination, Communication and Sustainability

WP7 oversees the communication and dissemination of the Alliance’s activities and results and contributes to their long-term sustainability.
