From UniPG to Cuneo: a student takes part in the international ARTEMIS–INMC water initiative
Levente Kallay Der participated in the fifth meeting of the International Network of Michelin Cities through the “Call for Young Innovators” initiative.
The University of Perugia took part in the fifth meeting of the International Network of Michelin Cities (INMC), held in Cuneo, Italy, from 5 to 9 October 2026, through the participation of Levente Kallay Der, a UniPG student involved in the “Call for Young Innovators” initiative.

Launched by INMC together with Université Clermont Auvergne and the ARTEMIS Alliance, the initiative invited students from different countries and academic disciplines to collaborate on developing responses to regional water challenges. The programme involved forming international teams, collaborating remotely and presenting proposals at the Cuneo meeting.
Three areas guided the initiative: urban policies and climate change, nature conservation and agriculture. The project offered an opportunity to bring together different skills and perspectives to address issues relevant to both local communities and international discussions on sustainability.

Under the theme “Sustainable water, energy and food: global challenges and local solutions”, the Cuneo meeting provided a forum for exchange among city representatives, universities and international partners.
In his feedback to UniPG, Levente expressed great enthusiasm for the experience, praising the organisation and the wide range of activities. The photographs he shared capture moments from his participation.
For UniPG, the initiative illustrates how ARTEMIS connects university education with regional challenges through international collaboration and direct student involvement.
